*EASY POINTS* what are artifacts?

an artifact is any object made/modified by humans or human culture. it can be something ornate and well known like the golden mask found on king tut's mummy in egypt, or something seemingly ordinary like feces (called coprilites by archaeologists--these can be used to date an archaeological site as well as give insight to the diet of a culture) or leftover pieces of food. the thing about artifacts is that no matter wether they are big or small ornate or ordinary they are an important piece in the puzzle of human culture and our past.
