Is it normal to have bacteria in my throat?

I have just recovered from the flu, possible swine flu. I am in college and went to the normal health services, I got a throat culture done. I have felt a lot better and only have a cough left from the flu. Today I got a call from the the nurse saying that there was an unusual bacteria in my throat culture that only some people have but not to worry if I don't have a swore throat. I dont have a swore throat, but the thing is I am a hypochondriac, so I am now worried about this weird stuff in my throat and it is freaking me out!
