How to deal with a scruffy kid?

Believe me, it will happen naturally. Nothing you tell her now will sink into her head. Maturity and all that will come naturally and when it's time. Right now, just continue to remind her what she's supposed to do and how she's supposed to do things; it will eventually kick in.
