Does this sound like i have a UTI or could it be something else?

well im only 14, and a couple of days ago when i peed, it burned a little bit. i figured it was nothing but then i noticed that i started having to pee alot and everytime i did it hurt and when i wiped, it was pink. i looked it up online and it sounded like i have a uti, but i dont really know how i could get it. so i was wondering if this sounds like a uti and also what are the causes of one?and also are there any ways you can take care of one without going to a doctor i heard that if you drink alot of water it can cure it, and thats what ive been doing, but there hasnt been a change.
